Hi, I’m Katerina — the mom behind Local Social Mom.
I’m a Palm Beach native now raising two little ones (ages two and three) on the Treasure Coast. Most days, you’ll find us exploring splash pads, library story times, Saturday morning farmers markets, or stopping by a favorite local café. We love living here — and I wanted a place to help other families love it even more.
This blog came out of something simple: I needed a way to organize everything I was already sharing.
Over on Instagram, Local Social Mom has been a space to highlight events, family-friendly places, and small businesses for years — and this blog is just the next step. Now, everything lives here in one easy-to-search, easy-to-share place.
Before becoming a full-time mom, I spent years working in youth development — building programs, supporting families, and leading teams that served kids through after-school programs and community partnerships. These days, I help families find homes and businesses find storefronts as a licensed realtor, I capture stories through photography, and I continue to create resources that help connect families and local businesses across our coast.
We homeschool, too — and let’s be honest: being just 90 minutes from Disney might be the greatest perk of life on the Treasure Coast. I’m a total Disney freak (no shame!), and we tie so much of our learning, rhythm, and fun into trips to the parks.
🌴 What You’ll Find Here
- Local directories for parks, splash pads, beaches, indoor play spaces, and more — all searchable by city
- A family-friendly event calendar, including festivals, pop-ups, toddler events, and seasonal guides
- Farmers Market Guides with updated times, locations, and what to expect
- Spotlights on local businesses, including paid features for mom-run and family-owned brands
- A community bulletin board for flyers, business updates, and promotions
- A growing homeschool section with seasonal ideas, field trip roundups, and Disney-inspired learning themes
My family owns and operates our own businesses, so supporting local is something we’re deeply passionate about — and I hope this space becomes a meaningful way to do just that.
Thanks for being part of this growing community.
— Katerina
